The 2023 Dongfeng SKY EV01 is the first pure electric SUV offering from Chinese automaker Dongfeng Fengshen. This new EV model will soon be available for purchase in China.

Exterior Design and Dimensions

Inspired by aircraft design, the exterior of the Dongfeng SKY EV01 features smooth, flowing lines and a sleek, aerodynamic shape. The EV01 sits on a 2775mm wheelbase and measures 4670mm long, 1900mm wide, and 1613mm tall. With 140mm of ground clearance, the EV01 has a sporty, capable stance.

Three exterior color options will be offered: Ceramic White, Porcelain Blue, and Duanyan Black. Distinctive styling cues include the long, narrow headlights, black tomahawk-style wheels, and full-width taillights.

Interior Features and Tech

The cabin of the SKY EV01 focuses on simplicity and functionality. Front seats are power adjustable, while the 13.2-inch central touchscreen and 10.25-inch instrument display add high-tech flair. Other notable interior features include automatic climate control, rear air vents, and an on-board fragrance system.

Powertrain and Driving Range

Power comes from a single 120kW electric motor with 240Nm of torque. Dongfeng estimates the SKY EV01 will have a driving range of 445km between charges, based on CLTC testing. Quick charging capability will allow the battery to reach 80% charge in around 30 minutes.

Availability and Pricing
