BENZ EQS AMG

Several new features for 2024 are intended to increase driving range for the AMG EQS. Updated battery chemistry increases energy density a touch, with the pack’s capacity rising from 107.8 kWh to 108.4 kWh. A new Intelligent Disconnect system disengages the front motor when its power isn’t needed, reducing powertrain drag. And a heat pump comes standard, drawing heat off the drivetrain components to heat the cabin. Having a heat pump means the main propulsion battery doesn’t need to power the cabin heating system, leaving more energy for the motors. On the performance side, a new braking system with new regenerative software is said to provide more confident braking response. Rear seat occupant comfort and safety are upgraded with standard power-adjustable outboard seats, a new center-mounted armrest with wireless charging, and rear side-impact airbags.
